It was a casual encounter, exactly the type that happens in the best love stories, that led to the founding of Caffe Morandini. A meeting which, at the end of the 1960s, in a country which was raising its head again after the second World War, marked a change in the life of the young Romolo Morandini and his descendants.A trip to Brescia with his father, a baker, led him to meet the owner of a small shop on Corso Garibaldi. There, in that room infused with the smell of roasted coffee, Romolo decided that his future would be fragrant with coffee. This decision soon became reality when Romolo set up his first roasting laboratory below his house and began an adventure in the world of coffee that continues today. The first precious beans from America that arrived in the Valle Camonica, in the province of Brescia, entered the Vittoria 5 kg wood-burning roaster. It was the beginning of an adventure that Pietro and Vigilio, Romolo's two sons, took over from their father in 1991, carrying on the same authentic dedication, running the firm with enthusiasm, commitment and a serious work ethic, winning important recognitions and internaional titles. Nowadays the company has a cutting-edge roasting plant that makes it possible to roast each different coffee origin separately, automatically varying the roasting time and temperatures in order to preserve all the organoleptic characteristics. After roasting, the different coffees are moxed together, giving rise to our different blends (either conventional or organic with Fairtarde certification). In 2018 the company installed two state-of-the-art, fully automated plants for the packaging of pods (E.S.E. System) and compatible capsules, either compostable (certified Ok Compost by TUV AUSTRIA) or conventional. Since its foundation in the 1960s the aim of Caffe Morandini has been to offer products of excellent quality (from whole beans to ground coffee, to pods and capsules), able to satisfy even the most demanding palates. This quality is evidenced by different national and international awards: some of our blends, in fact, were awarded the prestigious Gold Medal during several editions of the International Coffee Tasting Competition, in Italy and in Asia. Beside the quality of the products, Caffe Morandini always pays great attention to its customers, offering constant customer service. Over the years Caffe Morandini has extended its horizons beyond the Valle Camonica to the world, by reaching most of the EU countries and also Canada, Japan and Moldova, thanks to its distribution network and its entrepreneurial attitude. As Pietro and Vigilio say "we are convinced that reaching a goal does not mean we stop to enjoy our success, but rather we start again right away, stimulating our activity through meeting new challenges knowing that we are working with goodwill, humility and the correct attitude."
